New Content Added!
Good Morning!
I have made a few modifications to our blog today.
I spent some time in the code this morning making a few tweaks to the content and picture sizes. I also added a great video to the bottom of the page.
More to follow.

A New Look... and a New Book
The Look
Well, 35 weeks later I finally get a pretty cool pregnancy tracker for our blog. It's pretty interesting, you'll notice it to the left of this message. The display shows an approximation of the growth of our baby based on the due date. We are looking forward to meeting Miss Brooklyn. Her movements have been like earthquakes lately. Holly and I laugh because we can only imagine how cramped she is becoming!
Holly's work has been keeping her busy, as some (read "a") more "experienced" person(s) take some of their massive amounts of accumulated vacation time. This additional work sometimes tends to run over into our weekends, but Holly laughs and says it will catch up with them when she's out for her 6-8 weeks! My job has been going well - I just finished up 3 projects in Arkansas and picked up 1 in Louisiana. In the past year I've had projects in 4 states (OK, CO, AR, and LA), which is a great stat and helps complete one of my original key objectives that I set when we moved to Oklahoma. I've enjoyed the variation, but am looking to have some much needed time at home during this last month before Brooklyn arrives.
The Book
Recently I was reminded of a story about a US Navy SEAL who post-humously received the Medal of Honor for his actions in the war in Afghanistan, and I managed to find the book which tells his Team's story. The Medal of Honor recipient, LT Michael Murphy, will be the namesake for a new US Navy Warship.
The book is the single greatest story I've read since Black Hawk Down. The book of which I'm referring is Lone Survivor... The book was of course written by the "Lone Survivor", a Texan named Marcus Luttrell, whose Team's mission was to take out one of the chief "rags" in Afghanistan. The mission was a failure and turned out to be one of - if not "the" - worst special forces tragedies in US history. A story of heroism, teamwork, un-nerving dedication, persistence, heart-wrenching tragedy, and success. The story is written by the 1 survivor of a 4-man team, who was tasked with taking out a high-value terrorist target. The 4-man team combats a 200-man Taliban army on the perilously steep mountains of the Hindu Kush. The 16-man rescue party is killed, so this 1-survivor out of 20 special forces personnel writes the story in crystal-clear detail, and only survives after being blown-up by an RPG (actually blown off the side of a mountain)... The story is written so well that you feel the pain, the heartbreak, and ultimately the happiness of a family who's son returns home alive after being labeled as "Missing in Action". A number of my family and friends have read this book and raved about it. I highly recommend that any of you pick it up and read the story of real American heroes and force yourself to read through your watery eyes. I recommend this now, on the heels of perhaps the greatest waste of public and private resources (next to the Obama presidential campaign)- the Michael Jackson media coverage - to encourage you to know of real heroes. You won't be disappointed with the book - Lone Survivor.
I read the book in 4 nights - reading over a hundred pages one night and finally falling asleep somewhere around 2 AM. I have a personal connection to the story, perhaps you do as well. I suppose to some degree we all do, as we all watched our nation get attacked on September 11, 2001 - these were some of the guys our country sent to "sort it out".
